On September 28, Mikhail Men, RF Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities Minister, Dmitry Livanov, RF Ministry of Education and Science Minister, and Andrey Volkov, National Research University of Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NIU MGSU) Rector signed an Agreement on Establishment of an Innovation Centre ‘Construction’ at the premises of the University.
‘Today, when Russia faces the problem of import substitution, the construction industry demonstrated its readiness to solve this problem’, emphasized Mikhail Men. Over 90% of construction materials for large-scale real estate construction are now being produced in our country. Russian engineering and construction equipment productive capacity grew notably. That’s why today we need a breakthrough in science: innovations, new technologies, design solutions, etc.’
The objectives and tasks of the Innovation Centre are to promote the development of the sectoral science, development of mechanisms of public and private partnership in this field, growth of business efforts towards innovation, improvement of the industry regulatory system efficiency, etc.
By November 30, 2015 NIU MGSU together with concerned enterprises and RF Ministry of Construction subordinate organizations shall develop the ‘road map’ on establishing the Centre and submit it to Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Education and Science for review.
